Hey, I have a talent that people working thru Upwork would love to have.  As it turns out, I was/am pretty good at conducting sales interviews and managing clients on Upwork (and off as well, but that’s something else to discuss).  You may think this is just boasting, but my statistics are (as of the creation of this website) what they are – a 99% client job success rating, Top 1% freelancer, and I routinely charge (and get!) $200.00+ an hour for my services.  If you are doing better than that, then my program may be an interesting refresher, but 99% of the population of Upwork freelancers are not (there’s more than 8 million of them!). I will show you how to do it the way I do so you can have a shot at making real money, too!

Fact: Nothing Moves Until Someone Sells It…

I became one of the ultimate Upwork Sales Monsters – those Upwork freelancers who make more than $100,000 off of Upwork in less than two years (I took about 15 months to hit $100K) and keep on going. Maybe you won’t become a Sales Monster, but you can definitely get better at this game – I will show you how I do it so that you can apply these lessons in a way that (hopefully!) benefits you.

The Hard Truth About Freelancing…

In the end, if you can’t close deals, you have little hope of making big money on Upwork and you are going to starve as a gig worker, period the end.
We freelance consultants are all Tyrannosaurs – the true kings of the business animal world and we eat what we kill. If you can’t kill it (i.e., close the deal) the first time a prospective client interviews you, the odds of you getting hired by that prospective client drop to less than 15% (in my experience). You have to be good at the interview game or find another game. Let’s get you in the game, friend.

Some people get really anxious about the mere idea of having to sell themselves – yet they do it every single day and don’t realize it. Wake up the monster!

Some people think they just can’t sell stuff (but they do all the time without realizing it). Some people have no direct sales experience. Some people lack the drive to get started. Some people are daunted by the prospect of having to meet a total stranger and then sell this person on the idea of hiring that freelancer – ON THE SPOT.
Good news: the why of it doesn’t really matter. Better news: it pays to remember almost all of the other freelancers on Upwork are going to turn out to be very limited in terms of their sales skills, so don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. What matters is having the plan and resources to do something constructive about it so that you stand out enough to have the shot at being a true sales monster on Upwork. Not everyone is going to become a sales monster, but if we can get you earning more than you could otherwise have done on your own without the support I may provide, then maybe spending a couple hundred bucks is a good idea, huh?

What’s a Sales Monster?

A Sales Monster is anyone who closes (i.e., writes a binding contract) at least 10% of the sales interviews they routinely conduct. I’ve been a freelance consultant for more than 30 years. I got to be an Upwork Sales Monster by virtue of relying upon a wealth of experience that you don’t know about and which the current generation has no experience with.
I learned to sell by having to survive on closing deals over the telephone to people who were half a world away, who had never met me, who would never meet me, and who on average would spend more than twenty thousand dollars – in advance – on the service I provided. Wow, that’s a steep hill to climb, right?
We aren’t talking about the sale of light bulbs or insurance – we are talking about a business service being bought sight unseen, paid for in advance, and the client having to wait at least a month (in most cases) to get the report. Yet, I did it for decades and somehow made it work.
It worked because I created a plan and the resources to do it, then had to do it because I had no one else who would help me. Necessity may be the mother of invention, but starvation is the true motivator in life that teaches the important life skills.
Now, here we are, and you can do it too. I’m hoping you can learn from all of my victories (and my endless defeats), and never suffer from want again. That would be a great outcome if you asked me.

Upwork Partially Solves the Customer Resource Problem For You…

Upwork operates a Platform as a Service (“PaaS”) that matches up people seeking contract work with those businesses and people who want to hire them.  Upwork does the marketing for you to get you going and potentially, “in the room” with your prospective new clients.  That’s hard to beat because you aren’t laying out a ton of capital upfront for a big advertising or marketing push.

The Plan Issues is at Least Partially Solved Already…

I’m offering you my plan. It’s a systemic approach I developed (through hard-earned trial-and-error work that cost me real money) for the Upwork platform and that I use on and off of Upwork to close deals and manage my practice. That’s right – you need a plan that has the potential to really help you launch sales on Upwork and then take those skills and expand upon them outside of Upwork to be truly successful in today’s world. After all, we would be fools to put all our eggs in any one basket (or resource!).
My plan is a systemic approach to the sales process that is encapsulated in 13 steps you can use to help you increase your success at closing sales via the Upwork platform. Plain and simple process that you follow. It’s not bulletproofed – nothing is when it comes to sales and every sales interview is different to be sure. The goal is simple. I want to give you the tools and a support system so you can do a lot better at the sales game and do it a lot sooner. You need to put groceries on the table ASAP, and I am here to help you do that.

The 13-Point Plan Value Proposition

As I have already demonstrated, I routinely charge $200 per hour for my time or more to provide consulting services.  For people starting out on Upwork, that would be a tall order as one hour isn’t going to do the trick.  They are going to need a comprehensive syllabus and support sessions, so I created a value proposition around certain key elements.

Deliverable Value Element

I’m not going to ask you to do anything I don’t already do on a routine basis.  This is based on my direct and continuing experience and giving you the inside track on how I do it.

I provide a syllabus you can read and follow. I provide in-depth discussion of each of the steps in this systemic approach to helping you sell your services on Upwork for top dollar (just like me).  The syllabus runs more than 14,000 words and some 27 pages.  It took me a couple of weeks to put it all together.  This isn’t just stuff thrown against the wall.

I also provide starting point language for you to use to help you do what I already do and do it your way to be successful.

The syllabus is written for the everyday person who speaks English as a native language and does business routinely in the U.S.  While you can apply the principles to any situation that involves a presentation and marketing of ideas, I have primarily done business in the U.S. and the expectation would be for U.S.-based freelancers to want this the most.

Zoom Sessions Value Element

I also provide a 1-hour session in which you (and up to 4 other participants) get the opportunity to walk thru the 13-step program with me and I help you better understand it, role play it, and give you the knowledge so you can put together your own presentation to then start giving to client prospects on Upwork.  We do these sessions via Zoom.

Finally, I provide one more 1-hour Zoom session in which you (and up to 4 other participants) get the opportunity to tell me what challenges and problems you have been encountering since you started using the 13-step program.

I will do my best to answer your questions and give you more advice, insider knowledge, and help to get you on the path to becoming a true Sales Monster.  My goal is to make you better and more successful with every sales interview and up your revenue in a way that you would not otherwise probably ever think of.

Low Cost Barrier Value Element

You get all of this for just $199.  That’s right.  Two hundred smackers and you are in the game, my friend.

You don’t pay for the 27-page, 14,000+ word syllabus, plus pay for each consulting hour.  If you added it up separately, the syllabus would likely cost $250 (on a very charitable day), and the two (2) hours of consulting time at my minimum posted Upwork rate would bring the total bill to more than $600.  That’s a pretty big discount – more than 50%, friend.

Order it Now

It is never too soon to start closing more deals.  Duh!  Get started now with me helping you do what I have done best, and you will have the resources and plan to become a true Sales Monster on Upwork.   I keep it simple – you order by email.  The return receipt has the link to the syllabus and to the calendar for booking you in once you have had the opportunity to review the syllabus (I assume you will take at least 5 business days to get to actually reviewing and completing your reading of the syllabus, so the earliest you can book is the following week).
